The technical points to take note of are:
The initial racket preparation is early. It is not too big.
The Shoulders are initially turned to exactly face the side wall, even though the shot is played off the ‘wrong’ leg. This shoulder turn has come from the hips.
The racket reaches out to play the ball a comfortable distance away from the body. The elbow goes from bent to straight, reaching full extension on impact.
The head is perfectly still when contact is made. This maintains perfect balance. The eyes are watching the ball onto the racket strings.
The follow-though is through the line of the ball. The racket ends up out in front, not down by the feet. You do not want to ‘chop’ down on the ball.
